And hopefully modtools get made for it, unlike BC2

PRMumble, man. Problem solved.

Yeah, just sooo realiable when no-one else is using it. The only exception are pre-planned mumble events...

I blew the dust off my BF2 discs and installed this yesterday afternoon -- after perhaps a dozen server joins, I've been booted out about half the time, the other time I'm hopelessly lost as to where my squad is, what I'm supposed to do.... and the load times are ridiculous! I have a year old machine with a Radeon 4850HD so it's not on my end. Come to think of it, I don't even think I've fired my weapon yet. Seems like a clusterfsck to me, but I never really enjoyed BF2 very much either. Guess I like the simplicity of WW2 weapons and tactics too much to get into this.

It's a game that requires someone to play with and time to practice. I spent probably 5 hours with friends in the training servers. Only suggestion is to join an infantry squad, go rifleman (the one with the scope) and just follow your squad leader around.

Just got back from a game where I was top of the server picking whole squads off with my rifle. Was strategically taking out the grunts and watching for who the medic was, then taking him out.

PS: Keep in mind that it takes roughly 3-5 seconds to steady your rifle once you are sitting still and aiming.

Manually updated your PB for BF2? If that doesn't work then check to make sure nothing is stopping PB from getting to the interwebs. (Firewall/router)

I used to have problems with PB up to wham-zoo, until I took those steps.
If those things do not work, this is suggested on the support page for PB/BF2

Tactical Gamer, Project Mumble Community, two of several servers that encourage or enforce Mumble. Check them out.
