Basically, the idea is to create a modern game in the same vein as the original Rainbow Six games. Deliberate pacing, actual thinking involved, open scenarios, player based strategizing (no "Go in here kill all these guys and exit here." style briefings), and other shit like that. So far, it sounds pretty promising. If you want to be a backer, head over to the kickstarter and see what the game is about. If they don't meet their goal by Sunday, the game won't be made.

I really hope they get the money they need, wish I had the money to pledge as well. Had lots of good times with SWAT4 and the original Ghost Recon, and this seems to be aiming to follow in their footsteps, it's been too long since a game of that nature has been made.

I remember SWAT4. I liked it, I even upgrade my PC so I could play it. The graphics were great and the facial expresses of that game and games like H&D2 should be in more games.
My only problem is that the earlier SWAT games you could have a lot more guys and realistically so. They were not first person shooters though but they were still great. It's retarded to send in a 4 man SWAT team into a huge sewer complex to disarm a bunch of Nukes under L.A. :-l
