Posting for Huri, cause his English is even worse than mine.

Although build for DoD:S at first, it probably suits RnL much better, given it's size. Being a 100% urban map, it's of course smaller than the official RnL maps, but still much bigger than the typical DoD:S map. There won't be any forward spawns, just pure zone control with both teams attacking/defending. We'll see how the Kar holds against the Garand in a pure urban setting.

Big Kudos to my clan mate [Rue]Huri, the map is 100% his work, although he had to go through my personal hell of criticism, hehe.

Adenau is an awesome map, one of my favourite DoD maps. I look forward to seeing it in RnL.

Well unless the team has made some improvements about the hitdetection I can assure you the kar will do the same against the garand: poorly.

Thanks for sharing these pics and Huri for making such a gorgeos looking map.
More maps are very welcome.

Monk.

Monk.

I agree with you. But despite this problem, the k98 does a good job in large maps taking place in the countryside.
But in a urban map, i think the k98 will not measure up to the garand.
As always, in close quarters combat, germans will leave their k98 for their handgun.
Anyway, let's wait for the map.

By the way, will there be the mg in this map?
Mg at the end of a long street could make a nice work.

Since it'll be released after the MG patch, yes.
I know that the KAR/Garand balance will probably be a problem on all urban maps. If it's a huge issue there's still the possibility to give the Germans more SMGs until the G43 is added to the game.

Great.
Are you really thinking about adding the G43? Cause it was said to be unrealistic in the normandy campaign.

There were 400, 000 G43 rifles made in WW2. I am sure that there would be a couple in normandy.

to compensate a little with the k98, dont make the m1 garand able to reload until the ammo is fully depleted

We are just speaking about different ways to balance the garand in urbans maps.

It doesn't need balance. Just follow reasonable guidelines, IE: realism.

The garand reload is a question about realism
